Megan Raymond, Owner, Raymond's Trophy & Awards (Bakersfield, CA)
Megan Raymond has been in the Awards Industry since 1996. Raymond’s Trophy and Awards was opened by her father-in-law (Randy Raymond Sr.) in 1994. As the company grew, he needed an engraver and graphic designer. When asked to come on and utilize her background in art, she never hesitated. She works side by side with her husband Randy Jr. and they have now owned the business since 2013. Raymond’s Trophy and Awards specializes in a culmination of things; Laser Engraving, Rotary Engraving, Sandblasting, Hand Engraving, Graphic Design, Vectorizing and Promotional Products. Raymond’s Trophy prides their true specialty as being “customer service”, she will never turn down an opportunity to take on a project and reminds her employees that lots of places can do what we do – but do they consider the customer and all the components that go into a job and client. That is what makes Raymond’s Trophy stand out, when you are a client you become family no matter if you are a corporation, school, non-profit or individual. Every single job is of equal importance.
Just because the extension says PDF, does not mean it’s a Vector PDF.
Think of a vector image like a sheet of instructions: it tells the computer how to "draw" the image every time it is displayed. In contrast, a raster image is like a completed jigsaw puzzle. We’ll breakdown why the extension doesn’t mean Vector…..and how to use what your customer sends.
