Engraving Concepts Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Arlington, TX-based Engraving Concepts, which provides laser cutting, engraving, and metal marking services, is celebrating its 50th year in business. This year also marks 3 decades of the company representing the Epilog Laser brand. Along the way, Engraving Concepts has also added other made-in-America equipment: TYKMA/Electrox, Kern Laser Systems, and Direct Color Systems.
Founder and industry-leader Roy Brewer, CRM, started as a one-man operation in the trophy industry as a manufacturer’s representative in 1967. Eventually, that endeavor evolved into Engraving Concepts.
“Our biggest product line is Epilog Laser,” Brewer said. “When lasers became available in the late 1980s, I beat a path to their door and said I wanted to sell Epilog Lasers, and that’s probably the greatest one thing that’s happened in all the years we’ve been selling to our customers.”
Jeanette Brewer-Richardson joined the Engraving Concepts team full-time in 1994.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating 50 years in this incredible industry,” she said. “It’s amazing to think this all started as a one-man show and has grown into so much. We sell all kinds of equipment now, including Epilog Laser, and they’re all made in the USA, which we’re extremely excited about and proud of.”
“We’ve been so grateful to partner with Roy Brewer and the entire Engraving Concepts team for the past 3 decades,” said Mike Dean, vice president of sales and marketing for Epilog Laser. “People of this caliber are hard to come by—everyone at Engraving Concepts is known and respected throughout this industry and we consider ourselves lucky to have them in our corner.”
