Engraving Concepts will host a special retirement celebration honoring Roy Brewer, CRM, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at its location in Webster, Texas.
Brewer is retiring after a 55-year career serving the personalization and awards industry. Throughout his tenure, he has worked closely with customers across manufacturing, awards and recognition, personalization, industrial marking, and promotional product sectors, helping businesses implement laser-engraving and UV-printing technologies to grow their operations.
“Beginning with CorelDRAW version 1.2, Brewer mastered the software that drives the personalization industry,” the company stated in an announcement.
Since then, Brewer has trained hundreds of laser operators and taught CorelDRAW through seminars and webinars at TDA/TDMA/ARA/APA trade shows over the last five decades.
“I don’t know anyone who knows more about CorelDRAW than Roy Brewer,” said Doug Green, owner of Express Yourself and a CorelDRAW instructor. “He helped me put my first video on YouTube 14 years ago.”
During his career, Brewer has supported installations, training, application development, and equipment demonstrations involving Epilog Laser systems, TYKMA laser-marking solutions, Direct Color Systems UV printers, and several other engraving-equipment manufacturers.
“It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with Roy for the past 35 years,” stated Mike Dean, vice president of sales and marketing at Epilog Laser. “Roy leaves behind an amazing legacy, and all of us who have had the privilege of knowing him carry a piece of that forward.”
The August 1 event provides customers, vendors, partners, and industry friends an opportunity to share stories and honor Brewer’s contributions to the field. Light refreshments will be served throughout the day.
Engraving Concepts said it welcomes peers, customers, and friends to drop in between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, August 1, at their Webster, Texas, facility.
