2026 APA EXPO: A High‑Impact, Growth‑Driven Gathering for the Personalization Industry

The 2026 APA International Personalization EXPO has officially concluded, and the energy, engagement, and outcomes from this year’s event made it one of the strongest gatherings in the industry.

Across education sessions, networking opportunities, and an expanded trade show floor, personalization and awards professionals came together to learn, connect, and understand how they can move their businesses forward in 2026.

Whether you were a first‑time attendee or a long‑time industry leader, the week delivered meaningful value at every level.

By the Numbers

  • 87 exhibiting companies, (+10% in net booth space over prior year)
  • 631 first‑time attendees (+18% over prior year)
  • 1,557 retail attendees (+18% over prior year)
  • 37 speakers and presenters
  • $9,500 in scholarships awarded by ARIEF to 11 scholars

Education That Delivered Real‑World Insights

Education was a defining highlight of the 2026 APA EXPO. Over the week, attendees explored a wide range of topics designed to support immediate application and long‑term growth.

Sessions covered how artificial intelligence is shaping the awards and personalization industry, including practical uses of AI tools to streamline workflows, improve production efficiency, and enhance customer engagement. Attendees also examined legal and ethical considerations, helping business owners adopt new technologies responsibly.

Software and production-focused sessions provided an overview of optimizing laser and UV workflows, comparing tools like CorelDRAW and LightBurn, and applying advanced techniques to create layered, textured, and full‑color designs using existing equipment. Other sessions addressed fabrication, custom award design, mixed materials, and finishing techniques that elevate product quality and perceived value.

Business‑focused education explored topics such as showroom design, strategic equipment investment, niche development, customer targeting, onboarding and training staff, and scaling operations with confidence.

Taken together, the education program offered practical insight, technical depth, and strategic perspective for businesses at every stage.

A Trade Show Floor Built for Product and Capability Discovery

The trade show floor opened midweek and remained active through Friday. With more exhibitors and increased booth space compared to last year, attendees had expanded opportunities to explore new equipment, materials, software, and services.

Live demonstrations, product conversations, and side‑by‑side comparisons created a dynamic environment where attendees could ask informed questions and make confident decisions about what fits their business needs.

Community, Connection, and Celebration

Beyond education and exhibits, the EXPO reinforced the strength of the personalization community. Networking happened everywhere, from structured events to informal conversations in the aisles and over coffee.

Highlights included the Party on the Show Floor, the Gold Obelisk Awards Celebration, the APA Member Breakfast and Annual Meeting, and the ARIEF Silent Auction. These moments brought the industry together to celebrate achievement, support future leaders, and strengthen relationships.

In Their Words

Here is what some attendees shared about their experience at the 2026 APA EXPO:

“This was my first time attending the APA EXPO in Las Vegas. From education days and MakerFlo lounges to the trade show floor, it was an experience to be a part of. It was great to connect with members of the personalization community and learn from the best. I will surely be back.”

Isha Gandhi, Elegantly Personalized Gifts, Charlotte, NC

“Vegas was not about the strip. It was about the shop. I spent the week at the APA International Personalization EXPO getting hands‑on with the latest technology, asking hard questions, and seeing what is really possible for scaling A Touch of West Texas. Real demos. Real conversations. Real growth. This was one of the most valuable industry events I have attended. If you are serious about raising your quality and pushing your business forward, you have to be in the room. You cannot level up from the sidelines. I’m grateful to everyone who shared insight and pushed the conversation forward. That is how we all grow. See you next year.”

Alberto Maynez, A Touch of West Texas, El Paso, TX

“I returned home from the APA Personalization EXPO feeling so inspired. I made amazing connections, learned a ton, and got that ‘you are on the right path’ feeling. Starting over is scary, but choosing freedom, creativity, and growth is worth it. This was my first year in customization, and I am just getting started.”
