(Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, President: Yasuhiko Isobe; hereafter referred to as “MUTOH”), is pleased to announce that its 1.6m wide eco-solvent inkjet printer XpertJet 1641SR Pro II, equipped with the new AccuFine HD Pro print head, will go on sale starting October 22nd.

 XpertJet 1641SR Pro II is a single-head model that combines the new AccuFine HD Pro print head with eight nozzle rows that allow for close placement of the same ink color, with the newly developed print control system i-Screen EX System, to achieve both high-definition ink placement and smooth gradation expression, resulting in outstanding image quality. Furthermore, print speed has been improved, achieving productivity of 189.8  ft²/h in the Production printing mode, which is top class among four-color models.

XpertJet 1641SR Pro Ⅱ delivers the highest “Made in Japan quality” to a variety of markets, including indoor and outdoor signage, exhibition graphics, car wrapping, and POP advertising.

Main product characteristics

• New AccuFine HD Pro print head
  The new AccuFine print head, AccuFine HD Pro, features eight rows of ink-jetting nozzles, allowing for close placement of ink droplets of the same color, which was previously not possible, and improving the color accuracy when ink lands on the printing surface. This contributes to improved print quality.
 
• New print control system i-Screen EX System
   The new print control system, optimized for AccuFine print heads, further advances the existing i-screen print effect technology, enabling the application of more advanced print effects. This improves color uniformity and gradation expression, resulting in stable, high-quality printing.
• Print speed
  It achieves a productivity of 189.8 ft²/h in the Production printing mode.

  The original wide color gamut profile MUTOH Wide Color Choice focuses on dark color areas that were previously difficult to reproduce, expanding the range of color reproduction. It maximizes the ink color reproduction, delivering more vivid “reds” and deeper “blacks” than ever before.

  Adjustment and correction for each paper type is automated thanks to both of these functions, reducing operator’s workload.
 
• Ease-of-use functions for efficiency
  Media Tracker and Nozzle Area Select
  The printer is equipped with two efficiency-improving functions that are well-established in the market. The “Media Tracker” function, which uses barcodes to manage the remaining amount of roll media, allows for efficient media use and reduced waste. The “Nozzle Area Select” function, which selects the nozzle area where printing is normally performed, allows you to continue printing without downtime even if a nozzle becomes clogged.
 
• Take-up unit
  This model supports a take-up unit (for media up to 66lbs) that starts and stops winding with to the printing.

   

   
• One-touch print head adjustment function
  The print head height can be easily adjusted to four levels (1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 4.0mm) by operating the lever. By selecting the print head height that is optimal for the media you are using, compatibility with the media is improved, the risk of contact is reduced, and consistent print quality is achieved.
 
• MUTOH genuine eco-solvent ink MS41
  The printer uses MS41 eco-solvent ink, which boasts excellent color development, outdoor durability, and ease of maintenance. MS41 ink has earned the UL GREENGUARD Gold certification, a U.S. environmental standard, and is certified to not release harmful chemicals into the surrounding areas. This ink is environmentally- and operator-friendly.
